Dental implants: computer assisted implantation and drilling template

The Dentaprime dental clinic employs only the safest and most modern implant procedures that give pinpoint accuracy and perfect results even in complicated cases.

1. Newtom 3G digital volume tomograph

Newtom 3G digital volume tomograph

The Newtom 3G produces a three-dimensional, extremely accurate image of your jawbone. This 3-D model is then transferred to special software that is subsequently used for computer-assisted implant planning.

2. Computer-assisted implant planning

Computerized planningThe drilling performed by your Dentaprime dental surgeon must ensure a precise fit. Length, angle and position of the drilled hole must be planned and executed with absolute precision. In order to ensure perfect accuracy, the 3-D model of the jawbone is transferred from the volume tomograph to the codiagnostix software.

The codiagnostix software is used by the implantologist for implant planning. Even the most difficult cases can be handled with the utmost precision, to achieve a perfect result. The implant planning software produces a protocol, which is then used by the dental technician to manufacture a highly accurate drilling template.

3. Manufacturing the drilling template

The dental technician manufactures the drilling template in the in-house laboratory with the aid of the coordinate table, gonyX, and the implant planning software protocol. A template manufactured using this method is far superior to conventional templates, in terms of accuracy. As a patient, you will benefit from enhanced safety and a perfect fit.

4. Implantation

The implantation is performed with the aid of the drilling template, which prescribes the exact length, position and angle of the drilled hole. The dental surgeon performs the procedure using a surgical device, the Intrasurg from Kavo, made in Germany. It regulates both speed and torque perfectly.

5. Superstructure

Once the dental implant has fused with the jawbone, the temporary tooth replacement is removed and the superstructure is fitted. This can be an individual tooth, a bridge or a denture attached to the implant.

You can rest assured that at the Dentaprime clinic, dental implants are planned and fitted using the most modern techniques – for maximum safety and perfect results.
